The SDSquared Tutoring Network

How the Program Works:

We are excited to offer the SDSquared Tutoring Network, a private network of SDSquared trained tutors that will work one-on-one with your student at your convenience while also giving them access to our STEM programs!  Tutors work with you to schedule a time that works for you and will meet with your student up to two times a week during the school year. Here is what the program includes:

·       Specialized tutoring in a method designed by our Tutoring Director, Joyce Maryanopolis, delivered by our trained network.  This method is a multi-sensory approach most closely resembling a method called Alphabetic Phonics under the Orton-Gillingham umbrella;

·       Sessions are 45 min long and are scheduled at your convenience at either a library or at your home;

·       Your fee includes:

o   45-minute tutoring session

o   All materials required to complete the curriculum

o   Free admission to all of our monthly Science Saturdays ($50/per session value!). Science Saturdays have included such events as a tour of National Geospatial Intelligence, engineering challenges hosted by our sponsor OGSystems and run by aerospace engineers, visioneers, and physicists, building and launching rockets, tour of the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum, and more;

o   20% off our STEM Camp offered this coming summer at George Mason University;

o   Parent talks on such topics as evaluating for dyslexia, assistive technology, executive functioning, and more;

o   Our monthly newsletter with helpful tips, STEM activities, and articles;

·       We recommend two sessions a week on average for a period of two years;

·       Our fee is $50/session, paid through our online portal called Clark that tracks your student progress and keeps you informed of what they are working on.
